Suki’s Corner: Sex Work Reddit Marketing

My Top 10 Favorite NSFW Subreddits

Social media for sex workers can often be overwhelming, especially when it comes to Reddit. The sheer size of the site, and the number of NSFW subreddits often make it difficult to decide where you should be posting.

Most of the “comprehensive” lists out there are out of date and there are very few resources that teach sex work Reddit marketing. I wrote this list to introduce my favorite subs (all seller friendly) and hopefully help other creators navigate the hell hole that is Reddit!

My Qualifications: I’ve used Reddit for NSFW posting and promoting my OnlyFans for 5 years. I also work in social media management for PS: Group and run a number of creators’ Reddit pages featuring a wide range of content and looks. I’m basing my recommendations upon the posting experiences I’ve had for myself as well as my clients.

Disclaimer: This list is by no means comprehensive or official in any capacity, it’s just my personal faves.

Make sure you read all the subreddit rules before posting!

What I like about it: r/Nudes is a huge NSFW subreddit that allows sellers to post and has no specific body type or look requirements. It has high engagement for how saturated it is with creators, and the 1.9 million subscribers are relatively active. It’s easy to earn a lot of karma in this sub if you fit the body type and look that they like here. While it’s clear in this subreddit a certain body type is preferred, on occasion a less traditional poster will hit the front page.

What I don’t like about it: r/Nudes is a really great example of the type of content that does best across all of NSFW Reddit: skinny, white, and young looking cis women with big tits and ass on a tiny body. Other body types, races, and looks don’t do as well here, but it doesn’t hurt to post, sometimes this subreddit surprises me.

Content that does well: Long GIFS that are teasing and sensual, but still showcase your body really thoroughly are the most popular. This was the top GIF in the last year. GIFs do better than photos in this subreddit by a LOT. For photos they like full body selfies in bright light, preferably daylight. High quality and detailed photos (back camera). This was the most upvoted photo in the last year.

What I like about it: OnOff is another huge (1.2 million subscribers) subreddit that allows sellers to post. No verification required, very few rules, and great for karma farming. Pretty high engagement as well. Onoff content also tends to do pretty well on other subreddits too; the concept is fun and lets you show off outfits.

What I don’t like about it: They favor the same body type and look as r/Realgirls, but again it doesn’t hurt to post there.

Verification: None

Content that does well: GIFs do better than photos, you’ll need to show clothing or lingerie on and then off. Basically a cute stripping or flashing GIF. This was the past year’s top GIF. Photos need to contain more than one picture showing something on and then off, in a side by side fashion. This was the top picture for the past year. They like the same style of photo as r/realgirls, brightly lit etc.

Things I found out the hard way: They don’t require verification but they DO require an undisclosed amount of posting/comment karma. I tried with a client that had 6k posting karma and 50 comment karma and it got denied so I’d assume it’s a 100 comment karma limit. R/cutemodeslutmode is an alternative subreddit for the same content that does NOT have a karma limit.

What I like about it: VERY active user base (350k subscribers), and great for fetish posters of all kinds. Dommes and subs are welcome. Doesn’t require nudity and has high engagement for nude and non-nude photos. Moderators are cool and generally easygoing as well.

What I don’t like about it: The 50 comment karma posting requirement is annoying.

Verification: None

Content that does well: Latex, leather, or shiny clothing of any kind is required. I recommend bright light or a ring light to enhance the shine. GIFS and photos do about equally well in r/ShinyPorn. Princess Vasilisa is a great example of the content they like there, she’s basically the queen of latex on Reddit.

The top GIF of last year was this couple’s post.

What I like about it: Ever since the downfall of r/femdom (they now require at least 2 people in every post) this has been my go to sub for my femdom clients. Posing with any type of femdom toy or implement counts, selfies are fine, and there’s decent engagement.

What I don’t like about it: Undisclosed 50 comment karma limit (tested and found with multiple accounts!).

Verification: None

Content that does well: Once again GIFs tend to perform better than pictures in this sub. GIFs of pegging and face riding are the most popular; the top post the past year was this. The top photo the past year was this masterpiece.

Things I found out the hard way: Title and outfit do NOT contribute to a post being femdom so you need something more than that in the photo or GIF.

(Nudity required)

What I like about it: VERY well moderated, cute star rating system, large number of subscribers (600k) and really good engagement. POC only, and you can promote your Onlyfans in the comments too.

What I don’t like about it: Character limit on titles. Karma requirement is 300+ (includes both comment and posting though).

Verification: None

Content that does well: GIFS GIFS GIFS (photos are fine but they reallllllllly love GIFs here). This was the top GIF in the last year.

(Nudity required)

What I like about it: HUGE subreddit for plus size women (1.3 million subscribers). This subreddit is a personal favorite of mine, as a chubby girl who posts there I can say that they do an excellent job of moderating comments. They also have an active discord. Their posting requirements are also very lenient, you just need 5 karma of any kind and an account older than 5 days.

What I don’t like about it: Strict rules about captions, a clear preference for more conventionally popular, hourglass shaped, plus size bodies.

Verification: None

Content that does well: Photos and GIFs do equally well in this sub. Poses that accentuate curves and chubbiness do well and they do not mind Snapchat filters. The top post of the last year is this picture, and the top GIF is post here.

(Nudity required)

What I like about it: For BBW only, and nice and big (717k subscribers) with great engagement. Mods do a great job of keeping comment sections clean and ensuring the space stays troll free. You can post up to 3 times every 24 hours as well (1 post every 8 hours), most subs don’t allow you to post multiple times per day.

What I don’t like about it: Anything showing pussy, labia, or asshole has to be hidden in an album, it can’t be the only thing you post or the first picture in an album. R/BBWhardcore is great for that content though! Undisclosed karma requirement (less than 150).

Verification: None

Content that does well: Pics and GIFs do equally well, and they don’t mind filters. Public/outdoor nudity seems to do well too. The top GIF was this and the top photo was this.

Things I found out the hard way: You MUST mark NSFW posts as NSFW before you post it or they’ll get deleted!

(Nudity NOT required)

What I like about it: Of all the big foot fetish subreddits, I’ve found that this one has the highest engagement. The 283k subscribers are generous with their karma and the tagging system is cute. They have model tiers, and the more you post on there the more links you can advertise on your posts. They also do a 420 event and occasional contests. Because this subreddit is SFW you can upload content directly to the sub which allows for long, high quality videos.

What I don’t like about it: Verification sometimes takes up to 14 days for them to approve.

Verification: here.

Content that does well: They really love HD, high quality photos and videos here. Pics and vids perform about the same, the top post of the year was this pic, and the top video of the year was this one.

(Nudity required)

What I like about it: Very large space (654k subscribers) exclusively for WOC to promote themselves. This sub is specifically for brown/olive-skinned girls of South-Asian to Middle Eastern & North African descent. No karma limitations that I’ve noticed, and no required verification, so a great place to post if you are new to Reddit and wanting to build karma.

What I don’t like about it: Pretty saturated with new posts, not great engagement for how large the subreddit is.

Verification: Optional.

Content that does well: GIFs perform better than still photos, the top GIF for the last year was this and the top photo of the last year was this.

(Nudity required)

What I like about it: Huge subreddit (1 million subscribers) specifically for women with tattoos and piercings and other alternative style markers. As a plus size model I do decently well on there as well. No karma requirements and an active user base. Takes verification from other subreddits.

What I don’t like about it: Same issue I have with r/Realgirls, prefers a specific body type and race (skinny and white).

Verification: here.

Content that does well: GIFs do better than pictures, same style as r/Realgirls. High quality, well lit photos and videos. They also like goth outfits here and goth character cosplay. This was the top GIF of the year and this was the top photo of the year.

Honorable Mention

(Nudity required)

What I like about it: Obviously this subreddit is a personal favorite, since I am a chubby Asian girl. On the smaller side (152k subscribers) but really good engagement. There is no karma requirement that I know of.

What I don’t like about it: Moderation of comments is not super strict. Someone commented “not Asian” on a post of mine and it was only removed a few days after I reported it.

Verification: None

Content that does well: GIFs win again but pictures can still do well here. The top post of the last year was this photo and the top GIF of the last year was this one.

Conclusion

When in sex work Reddit marketing can be overwhelming, and I hope my guide helps you navigate Reddit a little easier.

I also hope it inspires you to tackle Reddit as a marketing tool; worst case scenario your posts just don’t do well, and even then you still have new eyes on your content and a new place for people to follow you.

When learning how to promote OnlyFans on Reddit, or any other paid site you use, make sure whatever suggestions or tips you find follow subreddit and site wide rules on Reddit.

There’s plenty of misinformation out there, specifically when it comes to sex worker marketing on Reddit, so do your own research before drawing conclusions.

I recently hosted a webinar going over the basics of posting and making a profile on Reddit as well, linked here
